We’ve reached an exciting new milestone for our Parkers Grove project, with permit approvals now secured.
This landmark $205m masterplanned community is set to deliver 650 new homes to Shepparton’s tight housing market, and is the first residential project to receive a planning permit within the Shepparton South East Precinct Structure Plan.
Located at 150 & 180 Channel Road and 35 McPhees Road, Parkers Grove will transform a 43.35-hectare site into a thoughtfully planned new neighbourhood designed to support the next phase of Shepparton’s growth.
Our National Director, Communities Paul Cicchiello explained that the project has been planned with liveability front of mind, placing a strong focus on wellbeing, accessibility and affordability.
“Importantly, Parkers Grove will play a meaningful role in easing Shepparton’s housing shortage and rental market pressures by creating a new family-friendly community just a few minutes from town.”
A connected and liveable neighbourhood
At the heart of Parkers Grove will be a 1ha centrally located community park designed as a gathering space for residents and families. The community will also feature natural wetlands, landscaped open spaces and walking paths that encourage connection with nature and an active outdoor lifestyle.
The development sits adjacent to a future local convenience centre, a planned government school and open space sporting fields — helping to establish a vibrant new activity hub for the wider Greater Shepparton community.
Respecting local history
The site also carries a rich local history as a former pear orchard, something we’re committed to recognising as the community takes shape.
As part of the development, the much-loved Percy the Pear statue will be carefully relocated to the new central park, ensuring it continues to hold a prominent place within the community and celebrate the area’s heritage.
We will also be undertaking an upgrade of Channel Road as part of the project works to help improve local traffic flow and enhance safety for the surrounding community.
What’s next
With planning approval now secured, we’re anticipating the Stage 1 sales launch for Parkers Grove in April 2026, with expressions of interest now open via the project website. Civil works are scheduled to commence on site in Q3 2026.
